Program Enrolment
The LGPro Mentoring Program is specially tailored to officers working in Local Government in Victoria irrespective of position, discipline, band, level or location.
Eligibility for Mentors
- Currently employed in, or recently retired from Local Government
- Must be a fully paid LGPro Member or Fellow on the date of commencement of the program series
- Have support and sign off by the Human Resource/Organisational Development Manager or Director and the person you report directly to
- Demonstrate effective communication skills
- A proven track record in managing teams and/or projects
- Be prepared to enter into a partnership agreement and to honor the work plan established with the mentee
- Commitment to upholding the confidentiality of the mentee
- Be available and prepared to actively participate in mentor orientation and all program debrief sessions (refer to Program intake timetable and training dates)

- Be currently working in Local Government in Victoria

Becoming an LGPro Member (criteria for Mentors only)
While there is no cost to become an LGPro mentor, it is a requirement of the Program that all approved Mentors are current members or Fellows of LGPro. LGPro membership is $325.00 (incl GST). If you are unsure of your membership status, Please call the LGPro Office on 03 6868 3833 or email info@lgpro.com
If you are not a current LGPro member or Fellow but would like to participate as a mentor in this Program, we would encourage you to still complete the expression of interest. A representative from the LGPro office will then contact you regarding the requirements and options for membership.

Series 2 (2010)
- Program Orientation Day - Tuesday 27 July 2010 (9.30am to 4.30pm)
- Mid-Program Review Workshop - Thursday 11th November 2010 (9.00am to 1.00pm)
- Final Program Debrief Workshop - Wednesday 16 March 2011 (9.00am to 1.00pm)
